And what would be a better way to share your experience with friends and family after your adventure?
Throughout your expedition, you will be passing through and spending time in the most spectacular scenery, spotting wildlife near and far. Depending on your choice of destination, different photography themed activities might be offered during the voyage. For example, photography lectures on how to capture the perfect image, workshops or guided photography walks or zodiac cruises. Many expeditions have an experienced onboard photographer, who is happy to answer any questions by sharing their knowledge and help with different devices and camera settings in order for you to make most of your experience.
Dedicated photography expeditions
For professional and hobby photographers, or anyone with a special interest in photography, we offer our photography focused Waterproof Signature Expeditions. On these expeditions, the main goal is to offer opportunities to photograph a specific subject, for example wildlife, such as polar bears in Svalbard. Our dedicated and experienced expedition guides know exactly where to search for the perfect opportunities. When it comes to wildlife, often, patience is they key. With our small ship expedition ships we can be flexible with the itinerary and make plans based on the wildlife sightings in the area.

Our expeditions are suited for photographers of all levels, from beginners to the most experienced. The expedition guides offer photography workshops and are available for personal advice throughout the voyage.
You need to bring your camera with data cards, sufficient storage capacity for your photos for the entire voyage, a spare battery for your camera (if possible), a battery charger, a USB cable to download images, and your camera manual. The camera manual is especially important if the camera is new to you and you want some help in figuring it out. You should also make sure that your camera can be transported easily, you will have to walk every now and than so make sure you can safely carry your camera in a waterproof bag.
