Intimate small-group expeditions
Virgo is the perfect vessel for intimate, small‑group expeditions in the Arctic and Northern Norway. Originally built as a Swedish buoy‑laying vessel, Virgo underwent a complete refurbishment in 2021, transforming her into a modern, comfortable expedition ship ready for new adventures.
Expedition ship Virgo can take up to 12 guests in 9 cabins and the ships’ warm atmosphere and friendly crew will make you feel right at home. All cabins have a fresh new Scandinavian interior and private bathrooms. Located on the upper deck, are 2 spacious Superior Suites, a Twin Cabin and one Single Cabin. On the lower deck you’ll find five more comfortable Single Cabins. All have private bathrooms, a desk, storage space and at least one porthole window.

Comfort and Exploration Aboard Virgo
Virgo offers bright, spacious interior areas and generous outdoor deck space, creating an ideal setting for immersive exploration. One of her standout features is the large, comfortable lounge with direct access to the front deck. Its expansive windows provide excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of natural light—perfect for photo editing, listening to lectures, or simply enjoying a drink with fellow travelers.
The small and cozy onboard sauna adds an extra touch of comfort, giving guests the chance to warm up and unwind after a day out in the Arctic elements.
Virgo also operates with an open‑bridge policy, welcoming guests to visit the bridge almost any time. It’s the perfect place for whale watching, learning about navigation, or having a friendly chat with the captain.
