Hans Hansson
Adventurous small group expeditions in Antarctica
Hans Hansson is the ideal small expedition ship for active travellers. With a maximum of only 12 passengers, you will be able to enjoy a flexible programme, tailored to the preferences of the guests on board. The ship is available for group charters and individual bookings.
Whenever an opportunity arises, you will be able to grasp it with both hands, maximising your time in Antarctica. The weather is fantastic and a few passengers want to go for a hike, let’s go! You encounter whales while zodiac cruising, let’s slow down and watch. The light is amazing and you want to go kayaking after dinner, why not? On board a small ship like Hans Hansson, it is all about enjoying the ultimate Antarctic experience rather than being constrained to a tight cruise ship itinerary.

Hans Hansson used to operate as a rescue vessel in Norway and was designed to remain at sea in the North Atlantic whatever the weather and time of year. The ship has proven herself throughout the years. In addition to her strength and seaworthiness, Hans Hansson has a reinforced bow and propellor in order to withstand ice, making the ship perfectly suited for exploring Antarctica.
The accommodation on board Hans Hansson is simple yet comfortable. The ship offers two Superior Ensuite Cabins and four Standard Cabins. The cozy lounge is the place to be after a full day of activities to listen to stories and share photographs after a full day of activities. But the best place is out on deck, watching the incredible Antarctic landscape and searching for whales in the distance. With only a few other guests on board, you can have the space and quiet to explore Antarctica in the ultimate way.

Lounge & Dining Area
Sailing on an expedition yacht means that the common places are very small, and the crew and passengers share pretty much everything. The cosy lounge is the heart of the ship where you will get together for lectures, dinners and to warm up after your activities outsides.
The onboard chef prepares hearty meals three times a day, and snacks are avaible at any time.
Activities
When in Antarctica, the focus should be on the experience, a complete experience on land and on the water. Once you step on board expedition yacht Hans Hansson, all is included. Zodiac cruises and shore landings will be offered on a daily basis. Weather permitting, you will also have a chance to participate in kayaking, hiking and camping! A unique chance to explore the Antarctic nature up close and personal. At the same time, Hans Hansson is an amazing platform for photography. With decks close to the water level, you will have an incredible viewpoint to watch whales and icebergs. While on board Hans Hansson, data will be collected for various scientific projects and all guests on board can participate.
If you are looking for a private polar diving or snorkeling expedition, Hans Hansson is the ideal small polar yacht. We are happy to help you arrange an active expedition for your group of guests.
