Stylish expedition ship with excellent stability
Ocean Victory is a polar expedition ship designed for voyages to the Arctic and Antarctic regions. The special X-bow design allows for smooth sailing even in rough seas and areas with sea ice. On board, you will find all the comfort one might wish for during a voyage to the polar regions.
Ocean Victory has many features that will add a little extra to your expedition experience. Besides multiple dining areas, observation decks, lounges, and a lecture room for educational programmes, you will also find a panoramic sauna and two jacuzzies. A special feature are the hydraulic platforms on deck 5. These can be opened when the ship is at anchor, allowing for a near water-level experience, bringing you as close to nature as possible while onboard the ship.
An important element of comfort, is the stability of the Ocean Victory. Expedition ships like the Ocean Victory are purpose-built for polar exploration, featuring strengthened hulls to navigate through ice-infested waters. The ship has a special X-bow design. Combined with advanced navigation and safety equipment, Ocean Victory provides a comfortable and safe platform for passengers during their polar expeditions.
Ocean Victory is a sister ship of Ocean Albatros. Waterproof Expeditions’ Anu (Sales & Reservations) has travelled on board Ocean Albatros on several occasions. She knows the ship inside and out, and is happy to share her experiences with you.

The mudroom is the gateway in and out from the ship to zodiacs for majority of the outings. Each cabin has their numbered locker in which you can keep your life vest, boots, expedition jacket, and other outerwear and equipment that you don’t otherwise need on board the ship.

Weather permitted, you get to enjoy the ultimate outdoor dining experience on the BBQ deck. There is plenty of seating areas around for you to enjoy your meal outside.
Ocean Victory also features a small pool, however this is not in use during polar expeditions.

On Deck 7 you can you can use the gym facilities, or if you prefer to sweat in the sauna, whilst enjoying the landscape outside from floor to ceiling windows. You can also make a reservation for the Polar Spa, and pamper yourself for example with destination inspired massage or facial treatment.
Activities
Ocean Victory offers various exciting add-on activities, allowing you to fully immerse yourself into your polar destination. Depending on your departure, you might be able to add the following optional activities to your polar expedition:
