Ocean Victory
Stijlvol expeditieschip met excellente stabiliteit
De Ocean Victory is een poolexpeditieschip dat is ontworpen voor reizen naar het Noordpoolgebied en Antarctica. Het speciale X-boegontwerp zorgt voor soepel varen, zelfs met een ruwe zee en in gebieden met zeeijs. Aan boord vind je alle comfort die je je maar kunt wensen tijdens een reis naar de poolgebieden.
De Ocean Victory heeft veel functies die iets extra’s toevoegen aan je expeditie-ervaring. Naast meerdere restaurants, observatiedekken, lounges en een presentatieruimte voor educatieve programma’s, vind je er ook een panoramische sauna en twee jacuzzis. Bijzonder zijn de hydraulische platforms op dek 5. Deze kunnen worden geopend als het schip voor anker ligt, zodat je zo dicht mogelijk bij de natuur kunt zijn terwijl je aan boord bent.
Een belangrijk element van comfort is de stabiliteit van de Ocean Victory. Expeditieschepen zoals de Ocean Victory zijn speciaal gebouwd voor poolverkenning en hebben een versterkte romp om door water met ijsschotsen te kunnen varen. Het schip heeft een speciaal X-bow ontwerp. In combinatie met geavanceerde navigatie- en veiligheidsapparatuur biedt de Ocean Victory een comfortabel en veilig platform voor passagiers tijdens hun poolexpedities.
De Ocean Victory is een zusterschip van de Ocean Albatros. Onze Waterproof Expeditions collega Anu (Sales & Reserveringen) heeft al verschillende keren met de Ocean Albatros gereisd. Ze kent het schip door en door en deelt haar ervaringen graag met je.

De hutten aan boord van de Ocean Victory hebben allemaal een kluisje, televisie, koelkast, verschillende 230W stroom- en USB-stopcontacten. In de badkamer vind je badjassen en -slippers, toiletartikelen (body wash, lotion en shampoo) en een haardroger.

De Ocean Victory heeft 2 restaurants, het Jens Munk Restaurant op dek 5 en het Fridtjof Nansen Restaurant op dek 8. Ontbijt en lunch worden in buffetvorm aangeboden in beide restaurants. ’s Avonds wordt het diner geserveerd met een à la carte menu in beide restaurants, maar met een speciaal menu in het Fridtjof Nansen Restaurant, dat apart kan worden gereserveerd bij de receptie.

Er zijn twee Lounge & Bar ruimtes, de Roald Amundsen Lounge & Bar op dek 5 en de Knud Rasmussen Observation Lounge op dek 8. In beide lounges kun je genieten van gratis koffie of thee, of een lekker drankje kopen aan de bar.
De observatielounge op dek 8 biedt een panoramisch uitzicht en veel zitruimte. De balustrades buiten zijn van glas, waardoor je kunt genieten van een bijna volledig vrij uitzicht.

Mudroom
De Mudroom is de toegangsruimte van het schip naar de zodiacs voor het maken van uitstapjes, naar de wal of een zodiac cruise. In de mudroom is er een eigen kluisje voor elke hut, waarin je je reddingsvest, laarzen, expeditiejack en andere bovenkleding en uitrusting die je aan boord van het schip niet nodig hebt, kunt bewaren.
Er zijn bankjes die je kunt gebruiken om je laarzen aan te trekken of om te blijven zitten terwijl je wacht op het aan boord gaan van de zodiacs.

Het zwembaddek is een uitstekende plek om tijd door te brengen als de zon schijnt of om op een andere manier het uitzicht te bewonderen. De Ocean Victory heeft een klein zwembad (niet in gebruik tijdens poolexpedities). Je kunt ook een duik nemen in een van de twee jacuzzi’s en genieten van de combinatie van warm water en koude lucht op je huid.
Als het weer het toelaat, kun je genieten van buiten eten op het BBQ-dek. Er zijn voldoende zitplaatsen om buiten van je maaltijd te genieten.

Op dek 7 kun je gebruik maken van de fitnessruimte of, als je liever zweet, van de sauna, terwijl je geniet van het landschap buiten door de ramen van vloer tot plafond. Je kunt ook een reservering maken voor de Polar Spa, en jezelf bijvoorbeeld verwennen met een massage of gezichtsbehandeling.
