Het eerste expeditieschip met X-boeg
De Greg Mortimer was het eerste expeditieschip dat gebruik maakte van het unieke X-BOW ontwerp en daarmee een nieuw tijdperk inluidde voor cruises met kleine schepen in de poolgebieden. De nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van scheepsontwerp en -technologie maken soepeler en sneller varen mogelijk, terwijl tegelijkertijd het kwetsbare zeemilieu wordt beschermd met behulp van een virtueel ankersysteem.
Tijdens het varen in de poolgebieden wil je je zo dicht mogelijk bij de natuur voelen. De twee hydraulische platforms van de Greg Mortimer, aan weerszijden van het schip, bieden je precies dat. Deze platforms kunnen worden neergelaten terwijl het schip voor anker ligt, waardoor je een ongelooflijk uitzicht op je omgeving hebt. Andere geweldige functies aan boord van de Greg Mortimer zijn de vier zodiac laaddekken op zeeniveau en het activiteitenplatform. Excursies aan land worden eenvoudiger en het instappen in de zodiacs gaat sneller, zodat je meer tijd hebt om het land te verkennen.

De grootste suite aan boord van de Greg Mortimer is de Captain’s Suite. Deze suites zijn gunstig gelegen op dek 4 en zijn de beste manier om in ultiem comfort van de poolgebieden te genieten. Compleet met een groot tweepersoonsbed, een aparte zithoek, privébalkon, inloopkast en eigen badkamer.
Enkele handige extra’s van deze hut zijn een gratis verrekijker, gratis minibar (aangevuld wanneer nodig) en een gratis fles champagne.

Je hebt meer dan genoeg ruimte om te ontspannen in de aparte loungeruimte van de suite, of kijk vanaf je privébalkon of groot tweepersoonbed gewoon naar de wereld die voorbij vaart. Inbegrepen bij de Junior Suite zijn een gratis verrekijker, een gratis gevulde minibar (aanvulling tegen betaling) en een gratis fles champagne.

De balkonhutten Superior aan boord van de Greg Mortimer zijn perfect voor poolavonturiers die op zoek zijn naar wat extra ruimte. De hutten liggen op de dekken 4 en 6 en hebben ramen van vloer tot plafond, een groot tweepersoonsbed of twee eenpersoonsbedden, een eigen badkamer, veel opbergruimte en een comfortabel bureau. Dit zijn de enige hutten waar het bed naar de ramen is gericht.
Sommige van deze hutten zijn uitgerust met rolstoeltoegankelijke badkamers.

Balkonhut
Er zijn drie soorten balkonhutten aan boord van de Greg Mortimer, geclassificeerd als A, B of C afhankelijk van de hutgrootte. Alle balkonhutten bevinden zich op de dekken 4 en 6 en hebben een groot tweepersoonsbed of twee eenpersoonsbedden, een eigen badkamer, een raam van vloer tot plafond, een bureau, veel bergruimte en natuurlijk een eigen balkon. Een voorrecht van een balkonhut is dat je het uitzicht kunt bekijken en naar buiten kunt gaan om een frisse neus te halen zodra je wakker wordt.
Sommige hutten zijn onderling verbonden, waardoor ze ideaal zijn voor gezinnen of groepen.

Aan boord van de Greg Mortimer vind je twee restaurants. De grote eetzaal serveert maaltijden in buffetvorm voor ontbijt en lunch, met een à-la-cartemenu voor het diner. Daarnaast is er het restaurant Tuscan Grill.
Thee, koffie en snacks zijn 24 uur per dag verkrijgbaar. Een assortiment huiswijnen, bieren en frisdranken is inbegrepen bij het diner.

Het uitgebreide activiteitenprogramma van het schip wordt ondersteund door een ervaren Expeditieteam, dat er alles aan doet om van elke activiteit een onvergetelijke en veilige ervaring te maken.
