Een Fly & Cruise expeditie, ook wel air cruise genoemd, is de comfortabelste manier om Antarctica te bereiken. In plaats van 2 dagen varen over de vaak ruige Drake Passage, vlieg je een paar uur vanuit Chili naar King George Island vlak voor de kust van Antarctica. Daar wacht je expeditieschip op je om je het schitterende Antarctische Schiereiland te laten zien. Fly & Cruise reizen zijn de perfecte mix van efficiëntie, comfort en authentieke ervaringen.

Eénmaal geland stap je meteen midden in de actie. Tijdens je expeditie ga je op ontdekkingsreis op de South Shetland eilanden en in delen van het Antarctisch Schiereiland. Excursies met de Zodiac en landingen aan de wal brengen je dicht bij het wildlife en ijsformaties, terwijl het expeditieteam haar kennis deelt tijdens presentaties en briefings. Elke dag wordt bepaald door de natuur, waardoor elke Fly & Cruise uniek en onvergetelijk is.
Fly & Cruise is zeker aantrekkelijk als je Antarctica wil beleven aan boord van een klein expeditieschip. Door over de Drake Passage te vliegen, vermijd je een paar dagen varen, die soms behoorlijk uitdagend kunnen zijn op een kleiner schip. Je bespaart jezelf daardoor tijd én een mogelijk ruige zee, zodat je je kunt concentreren op het belangrijkste: het ontdekken van Antarctica’s adembenemende landschappen en wildlife.

Het start- en eindpunt van onze Antarctische Fly & Cruise reizen varieert, afhankelijk van het schip en je gekozen vertrekdatum. Sommige reizen beginnen en/of eindigen in Punta Arenas, andere in Puerto Natales. Bij bepaalde reizen is een retourvlucht (Fly-Fly) inclusief, terwijl andere reizen een enkele reis vlucht combineren met een zeereis van of naar Ushuaia (Fly-Sail of Sail-Fly).
