Expedities naar de Arctic
Elke bestemming in de Arctic heeft zijn eigen unieke omgeving. Onze kleine schepen zijn speciaal gebouwd voor ultiem comfort tijdens je reis. Vaar door een labyrint van ijsbergen, speur de horizon af op zoek naar ijsberen, of duik onder water samen met walvissen. De Arctic heeft oneindig veel moois te bieden! Wanneer naar het Noordpoolgebied reizen
In het vroege voorjaar ligt er nog veel sneeuw en ijs in de Arctic. De natuur komt langzaam tot leven na een koude, donkere winter. In Spitsbergen beginnen jonge zeehondjes hun omgeving te verkennen terwijl hongerige ijsberen op zoek gaan naar voedsel. Walrussen zoeken een plekje op het strand en walvissen keren terug naar het Noordpoolgebied. Midden in de zomer kun je genieten van 24 uur daglicht. Door de warmte kalven gletsjers af en staat de toendra in bloei. In Spitsbergen kun je ijsberen met jongen, rendieren en poolvossen zien. Op de hoge kliffen wemelt het van de vogelactiviteit en ganzen en eenden hebben tegen die tijd kuikens. De meeste expeditiecruises naar Groenland beginnen halverwege de zomer. Tegen het einde van het seizoen heb je kans om het Noorderlicht te zien als het donker genoeg is. Aan land kun je muskusossen zien grazen op de toendra. Walrussen krijgen jongen en walvissen zwemmen dicht langs de kust op zoek naar eten. Vogelkoppels vertrekken weer voor hun wintertrek.
