Fleur van Lieshout

Fleur grew up in the Netherlands, where her curiosity for the world and its remote corners led her to study International Tourism Management with a focus on sustainable and ethical tourism. During her studies, she spent several months living in Norway and New Zealand. Two places with vast, untouched nature that both have a special place in her heart.

New Zealand eventually became her second home, and Fleur spent over five years living at the bottom of the world. There, she became involved in regenerative tree-planting projects and community beach cleanups. These experiences strengthened her connection to nature and showed her just how important it is to protect the places we love.

Working in tourism across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific, Fleur discovered how much joy she gets from helping others explore the world. Creating meaningful journeys and sharing the beauty of wild places is where she feels most at home.

Fleur brings that passion into her role as a Travel Consultant at Waterproof Expeditions, where she helps travellers craft unique experiences that show them the beauty our blue world has to offer.
