Aniek has been working in the travel industry for almost 15 years, and is passionate about online marketing and social media. Already from a very young age she knew she wanted to work in travel. Aniek: “As a kid I could already spend hours in the sea snorkeling, looking for fish and other marine animals. Discovering the underwater world is the most exciting part of any trip for me, I’m always curious to have a look below the waves. “
A passion for the blue oceans
At Waterproof Expeditions, Aniek manages the marketing and social media activities of the company. On a daily basis she inspires and informs potential customers with the beautiful journeys Waterproof has to offer. Recently she joined an expedition cruise to Northern Norway, spent a week on board a sailing vessel in Montenegro and travelled to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica during an epic 3-week expedition on board Hondius. Aniek: “Visiting Antarctica has altered the way I see our blue planet. Once you’ve experienced the untouched beauty of the white continent, you’ll truly understand the imprtance of protecting nature.”
