Deck plan Sjoveien Classic Svalbard Expedition Cruise
An expedition cruise along Svalbard’s coast is the best way to explore its deep fjords, fantastic polar landscapes and giant glaciers and maybe even spot polar bears and other Arctic wildlife.
MS Sjøveien
MS Sjøveien was built in 1964 and completely renovated in 2017. The ship has been refurbished into a classic and exclusive passenger ship, perfect for expedition cruises to the Arctic and Northern Norway. The wooden decks and classic interior create a true expedition feeling.
On board MS Sjøveien there is room for 12 passengers in eight cabins. All cabins have private bathrooms and either windows or portholes. There are two spacious double cabins with a double bed and windows. These are located on the main and upper deck. Also located on the main deck are two twin cabins with windows. On the lower deck you'll find four twin cabins with portholes.
Outside there's plenty of space for wildlife viewing and photography. On the main deck there is also a wood-fired hot tub for you to enjoy after a long day of exploring. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining area which is located right beside the lounge area. Here you can relax or listen to interesting presentations by our guides during the evenings.
