Classic Antarctica Cruise
Prepare to be dazzled by the beautiful scenery and the abundance of wildlife of the Antarctic Peninsula. The White Continent creates life lasting memories.
Hondius is a newly built and elegantly designed expedition cruise ship that holds true to a distinctive cozy and informal atmosphere. Enjoy hotel comfort while experiencing that real expedition feeling.
Hondius
Hondius was newly built in 2019 as the world’s first-registered Polar Class 6 passenger vessel, making her one of the most sturdy and technologically advanced polar cruise ships. Though the ship is very elegantly designed in stylish mid-century modern décor, Hondius holds true to a distinctive cozy and informal atmosphere. You will enjoy hotel comfort while experiencing a real expedition feeling.
Hondius offers accommodation for 170 passengers, ranging for grand suites with balconies to quadruple porthole cabins that can be booked on a sharing basis. All cabins have outside views. There is a large observation lounge and separate lecture room, which are used for a wide variety of interactive workshops, exhibitions, and lectures by the expeditions guides.
Shore landings and zodiac cruises are of the essence during an expedition cruise. A large fleet of rigid-hull inflatable zodiacs, two separate gangways and a sheltered indoor zodiac boarding area offer you fast and effective access to shore and near-shore activities.
Using some of the latest sustainable technology, Hondius can keep fuel efficiency high and CO2 emissions low. The ship is also equipped with stabilizers that make her highly suitable for swift and safe exploration of the Arctic and Antarctica.
