Scott Portelli - Waterproof Ambassador

Als bekroond onderwater cameraman heeft de Australische fotograaf Scott Portelli de wereld rondgereisd. Hij bezocht de meest afgelegen bestemmingen waaronder de Noordpool, Antarctica, Galapagos, Azoren, Afrika en de Stille Zuidzee. Als natuurfotograaf heeft hij honderden dagen doorgebracht op zoek naar verschillende wilde dieren en heeft hij het voorrecht gehad om vele dieren van dichtbij te mogen fotograferen.
Hij werd bekroond op de prestigieuze Wildlife Photographer of the year in Londen in 2016 en werd uitgeroepen tot nationale winnaar van de Sony World Photography awards 2016 en winnaar bij Travel Photographer of the Year 2015. Meer recent werd hij bekroond tot Overall Winner van de Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the year 2021 alsook winnaar in de categorie Threatened Species. Zijn documentaire "Real Men Bottle Things Up" kreeg de award “Remarkable Artwork” tijdens de Sienna International Photography awards 2021. Als geaccrediteerd drone-piloot heeft Scott ook aan luchtfotografie projecten gewerkt voor enkele bekende toeristische bestemmingen van Australië.

Scott filmt en fotografeerd zowel boven als onder water. Tijdens onze reizen geeft hij workshops en lezingen om zowel beginners als experts te laten zien hoe ze het beste uit hun fotografie kunnen halen. De laatste tien jaar werkte hij met bultruggen om hun gedrag boven en onder de golven te fotograferen en te filmen. Hij ontving een aantal internationaal gerenommeerde prijzen en zijn werk verscheen in een groot aantal tijdschriften en publicaties, waaronder het boek uit de BBC-serie 'Life' en diverse documentaires op de Australische en Nieuw-Zeelandse televisie. Scott is een echte Waterproof Ambassadeur en u zult hem altijd zien in zijn favoriete Waterproof pak. Hij deelt graag zijn passie voor onderwater en wildlife fotografie en geeft de beste tips en technieken voor het fotograferen op uitdagende locaties op diverse Waterproof Expedities.
