| Padi Polar Diver Specialty Course |
|
| This is a unique chance to become one of the first certified Polar Divers in the world !
The Polar Diver Specialty Course can only be taken with Waterproof Expeditions in Antarctic, below the Antarctic Convergence or below 60 degrees, or in the Arctic, above the Arctic Circle.
This course is designed to be an introduction to polar diving and help the Student diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for diving in polar environments. |

| We offer this Polar Diver Specialty on our dive expeditions to Antarctica, Spitsbergen and Greenland. |

| Requirements for applicants |
|
| To qualify for the Polar Diver course, you must:
1. Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization;
2. Be 18 years of age or older;
3. Show proof of experience in dry suit diving or being certified as a PADI Dry Suit Diver.

| The purpose Of the PADI Polar Diving Specialty Course is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and excitement of diving in the Polar areas.
The goals of PADI Polar Diver training are:
A. To enable the student to explain the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of diving in the Polar areas.
B. To familiarize the student with the use of any special equipment such as surface markers/floats, configuration of double regulators if used, signals, communication and recall signal.
C. To enable the student to engage in dives to explore the Polar environments found within depths and conditions as good as or better than those in witch they have been trained safely and enjoyable.
Costs for the Polar Diver Course is Euro 250 incl. certification.

| Padi Ice Diver Specialty Course |
|
| Divers without the necessary ice diving experience can undertake a Padi Ice Diver Course at the Arctic Circle Dive Centre.
PADI Ice-diving course will have 2 days and will be conducted at the same diving sites. The course will provide detailed instruction in:
- Ice diving techniques;
- How to tender a line;
- Securing ice screws / anchors, as well as placing shore protection to tender a line;
- Safety procedures and ice diving protocols / Produce a safety and emergency plan;
These courses consist of 1– 2 lectures and three training dives with an instructor.
At the end of the course, you will be required to pass an exam and complete the necessary paperwork to obtain the Ice Diver Certificate. The course fee includes use of all the necessary equipment.
Dives are open to participants with a minimum age of 18 years old.
Costs for this Ice Diver Course is € 397 plus € 30 for the certificate. |

|
| You can take the Ice Diver Course in the Arctic Lodge at the White Sea in Northern Russia.
|
|
| Health requirments for both courses |
|
| You must be in good physical and mental health. Any physical condition requiring special attention, diet, or treatment must be reported in writing when the reservation is made. The PADI Dive Centre and Instructors reserve the right to decline to accept any person as a member of a programme due to the health concerns. |
