Humpback Whale Migration

Since a few years we have witnessed an amazing event happening along the Coast of Namibia in a southerly direction towards Cape Point.
Due to the counter currents in the Benguala stream, krill, the most important food source for whales have been shifting and for a few years we have been observing hundreds of hungry Humpback Whales in less than 2 square KM following the stream from the total African West Coast and the Atlantic to be part of this feast.

We’ve got the permits !

Now the time has come that the South African Department of Ocean and Coast allows professional film- and photographers into the area to film and witness this amazing natural phenomena and to be able to share this with the rest of the world.
Waterproof Expeditions and local partner Expert-Tours are very proud to have managed to obtain the exclusive permits to snorkel and scuba dive and observe this event between Langebaan and Cape Point from 15th November until 16th December 2017.
We currently open up two departures for max 6 persons (other dates are already sold out and taken by film production companies!).
It is a true privilege to be part of this !

Disclaimer:
If the sea conditions do not allow snorkeling or diving we offer an alternative programme. This can never be the reason for refunds or claims.

The event is unique. Places are limited !
